近代タロットの理解にはカバラの知識が必須であることは、割とよく
知られていると思います。
しかしなから、タロットの理解に必要なカバラの知識って、日本に
おいては、あまり紹介されていないのが現実なんですよね。
というわけで、タロットの理解に必要なカバラの基本的知識を得るために
以下の本を引用、翻訳、考察しながら、色々と勉強していきたいと思います。

The Court Cards represent the Elemental powers of the Tetragrammaton, [heh][vau]
[heh][yod] , in the Four Worlds.
「コートカードたち」は、「4つの世界」における、聖四文字である[heh][vau][heh][yod]
の四大元素の力を表わす。
They personify the attributes of the Specific Elements (refer again to Figure 10)
and, as such, generally represent real people when they appear in a divination.
それらは、「特有的な元素たち」(図10を再び参照すること)の属性を擬人化し、そして、
それ自体としては、それらが占いに現われる場合、通常は実在の人々を表わす。

It may also be said that the Court Cards represent decision, on our own part or
on the part of others.
また、「コートカードたち」は、我々自身の側もしくは他の人の側にあるのかという決断
を表わしていると、言えるかもしれない。
It is the decision of individuals (or the result of situations brought about by
individual decision) which bring into effect the blind forces represented by the
cards of the Tarot numbered two through ten.
それは、2から10の番号付けされた「タロット」のカードによって表わされる無目的に働く

cards.
「大アルカナたち」は通常、番号付けされた小アルカナのカードたちを、さらに巧みに
操作する「カルマの力たち」を表わす。

前述の「2から10の番号付けされたカード」のことを示しています。
とはいえ、「大アルカナ」の隠れた「forces／強制力」は、下界の「小アルカナ」全てに

To reiterate: In divination the Court Cards are the choices of men, the Trumps are
the choices of the Gods (although at a more complex level, these are our own choices,
too) and the small cards are the forces brought into play.
繰り返して言うと：占いにおいては、「コートカードたち」は人間たちの選択であり、
「大アルカナたち」は「神々」の選択であり（より複雑な水準では、これらもまた我々自身
の選択ではあるが）、そして小アルカナ（の2〜10の数札）たちは実演の場にもたらされた
力たちである。
Of course any card of the deck may be a clear reference to an individual.

Like the Minor Cards, the Court Cards may also be referred to the Zodiac.
「小アルカナのカードたち」と同様に、「コートカードたち」もまた「黄道十二宮」に言及
されるかもしれない。

前述したように、ゴールデン・ドーンにおいては、「小アルカナ」の2〜10の計36枚の数札
については、その「四大元素」の属性を含めて、割とすんなりと、「白羊宮」を起点とした
「黄道十二宮」を3分割した「36デカン」に割り当てられています。
また、「大アルカナ」についても、「黄道十二宮」の属性を持つ12枚のカードがあります。

(Figure 15), but this scheme is a simplistic attempt to show relationships which
are actually threedimensional, and refer to the Earth and its two magnetic poles.
「エースたち」から「10たち」までと「コートカードたち」は、多層の一覧図（図15）に
置かれるかもしれないが、しかし、この一覧表は、実際には三次元で、「地球」とその
2つの磁極たちを参照する関係を示すための、極度に単純化した試みである。
