ラテン語では、頂点以外に、渦(うず)や（地理学）極、交点という意味があるらしい。こちらの意味が、ふさわしそうだ

下記のPhysicsの3例を見ると、”交点”が適当かもしれない
特に、”PV (physics) Primary Vertex (i.e. the interaction point)”とあるし
