In October eight companies in Gunma prefecture
went bankrupt with debts of ten million yen or more

announced that a total of twelve people including
zero-two year olds staff and family members
had been infected with enterohemorrhagic E. coli
at a daycare center in the city. All cases were mild or

Woman dies while crossing road after being hit
and run over in Tatebayashi of Gunma.
On the night of the fourth a sixty-seven-years-old woman
was crossing a city road in Tatebayashi City of Gunma
Prefecture. When she was hit by a light passenger vehicle
and then hit by another light passenger vehicle
that was driving behind her. The woman was confirmed dead

House fire in Tatebayashi of Gunma.
At around six forty-five pm on the ninth
a fire broke out at a house in Midori-cho
Tatebayashi City Gunma Prefecture.
Firefighters are working to extinguish the fire.

All cities towns and villages in Gunma Prefecture
have begun creating individual evacuation plans
that outline evacuation procedures for each elderly person
and person with a disability who will need assistance
in the event of a disaster. In a national survey conducted
