There are a number of tools on Linux distributions and the BSD flavours which can be used to filter network packets. On the Linux side the underlying filters are ipchains, iptables, and nftables. In the BSD communities there are a few different packet filters, including pf, ipfw, and ipf. Which of these do you use on your system?
