The Music Animation Machine project began in my reaction to this piece (see musanim.com/mam/hist02.html ).  My first graphical score was hand-drawn (see youtube.com/watch?v=yq0iMqQpxbA&t=149s ).  When I first started animating these scores, I didn't have a way of synchronizing them to recordings of real performances, so for the first video of this piece, I made a MIDI recording (see youtube.com/watch?v=8cN9GjL4q_o ).  Recently, I happened to listen to that recording again, and found the mechanical, music box-like sound charming, and decided it deserved a new version, using the animation techniques I'd developed since then.

P.S. After posting this, I noticed some missing notes, so I made a corrected version (and took advantage of that to make the animation a little more consistent:

ミュージック・アニメーション・マシン（MAM）プロジェクトは、この作品への反応から始まりました（musanim.com/mam/hist02.html 参照）。最初のグラフィカル・スコアは手描きでした（youtube.com/watch?v=yq0iMqQpxbA&t=149s 参照）。 これらの楽譜をアニメーション化し始めた当初、実際の演奏録音と同期させる手段がなかったため、この曲の最初の動画ではMIDI録音を作成しました（参照：youtube.com/watch?v=8cN9GjL4q_o）。 最近、たまたまその録音を再び聴いてみると、機械的でオルゴールのような音色が魅力的だと感じ、その後開発したアニメーション技術を用いて新たなバージョンを作る価値があると判断しました。
