ドキュメントとCVSのソースをざっとながめただけだが、面白そうだな。
This is an overview of how this project works.
This is a linux kernel for Windows Win32 expecting Linux ELF x86 binaries.
The 'kernel' is readly a dll servicing kernel SysCalls (called via INT 80 instruction). This technique relies on using i386 binaries only (nothing else is ok?)
An initial loader starts the first program (init).
Each new process is started by creating a new win32 process using a tiny stub executable
and then the ELF image is loaded into this processes address space whilst the process
is suspended. The stub is small and loaded high in memory to avoid the chance of overlapping code.
Once the stub is running it loads the syscalls dll. The loading at this time is safe as the required
memory is already allocated for the ELF code so will not clash.
The stub sets up the stack and registers and then transfers control to the ELF code. The jump
is wrapped in a _-try __except block. This allows the stub to catch the int 80 instruction (which
does not run under windows) and redirect control to the approproate syscalls.dll routine.
Control is then returned to the point after the int instruction.
