You might think that being in the middle of a war, the last thing you would be
contemplating is building more nuclear power plants. But that hasn’t stopped
Energoatom, the Ukrainian state nuclear operator.

Earlier this month, Energoatom inked a new agreement with Westinghouse of
all companies, the American corporation that went bankrupt trying to build
four of its AP1000 reactors in South Carolina and Georgia. The two in South
Carolina were canceled mid-construction, while the pair in Georgia are years
behind schedule and billions of dollars over-budget.

But like a good corporate vulture, Westinghouse has swooped into Ukraine, to
grab a golden opportunity. Already the supplier of nuclear fuel to almost half
of Ukraine’s reactors, the company now plans to increase that commitment to
all 15, replacing Russia’s Rosatom; to establish a Westinghouse Engineering
and Technical Center; and, craziest of all, build nine new AP1000 reactors
there.

If you start working in your 20s and live as long as average people,
you are at the halfway point in your 50s.
That should be the high time to stop to appraise what you have done so far,
set goals to achieve in the remaining 30 years, and start preparation for them.
Most people, however, are then being pressed to keep working like a horse.
It's too late to find something to do instead of working after you're retired.
Your 50s is located right at the middle point if you got your first full time work in
early 20s and live until the age of average life expectancy.
Your 50s is the time when you unload things,
decide how you live your next thirty years, and get ready for it.
However, most of you are chased by your work and do not have much time to stop and think.
It's probably too late to wait until you retire to start looking for
what would fill the void created from your retirement.

Life is a series of challenges, and most of the people often choose an easier way with less hardship when
confront dilemmas. But going through the easier one would often make no big change while experiencing difficulty
gives usopportunities to innovate our ways of thinking and behavior, or to discover new fields and unknown parts of
us.

Take a varieties of tests as first example. Whoever must have had an experience of tough competition when
enrolling university, promoting job position, getting qualification, etc. In case student, who studied hard, likely to has
a higher possibility to enroll in a good university and get a high salary job, feeling success and achievement. Whereas
student, who compromised less hours of studying with low academic score, are prone to end up in a mediocre
university or badly, drop out and has no job. Through similar scenes, people often face stress and fear whether they would
pass or fail. However, overcoming these stages enables them to build confidence which molds a part of their personalities.
And the efforts might affect their future social classes.

Topic:Should the death penalty be banned in japan?

A topic like the ban of death penalty often cited in wideshows or newspapers and sparks both advocates
and opponents serious discussion. But when considering the realistic issues, some aspects obstruct the
realisation of ban of the law. And I personaly support the exstence of death penalty for maintaining the social peace.

Firstly, the law's severity contributes to the restriction of criminals. Its power would saw the seed of fear to people who
are seeking chances to commit a crime, and to some extent it deter the crime rate. Furthermore, in terms of the recrime
rate of the criminals after released from the jail, it is surely a better way to confine heinous people to secluded place until
they sentenced rather than give them opportunity to go back to the society and rechallenge towards their moralities.

Secondly, the costs of supporting a great numbers of their lives oppress the government's financial situation. If the death
penalty has diminished, this budget will bloat and get the shackle of the budget's effective distribution .

Firnally, current legislation custom that the liberal  democratic party propose an act, the opposition parties take opposite
stance tells us this extreme act realisation seems impossible.

In total, we should not determine this crutial decision to the society just only by one's personal morality matter, but approach
this with holistic views. Given the situations surrounding the theory, the death penalty would say remain as it is.

Nowadays, Japanese Mass Media and the UN report that a lack of women’s
rights is a serious problem in Japan. However, in my opinion, it is a
serious issue only from a western viewpoint. In fact, this is not as
serious as media overstates and my supporting points are as follows for
this thesis.
Firstly, women’s status is not low in families in Japan. Labor value
should be not only measured by working in companies but also doing
housework. Husbands have to work, but wives have to manage the family
finances and care for children. This is not a lack of women’s rights
but the standard division of labor and each job is valuable.
Secondly, women can be relieved from the stress of working hard in
companies. This year an elite female worker was bullied and forced to
overwork, and eventually killed herself. In fact, the corporate
environment is often very stressful like a battlefield. Many women are
protected from such a harsh world rather than less respected.
Thirdly, in traditional Japanese families, most men and women are
married, and divorce is very rare because each side is dependent on the
other and consequently a more stable society ensues.
In conclusion, a lack of women’s rights in Japan is nonsense. As a
result of listening to western idealism, Japan is now faced with social
problems such as low birthrates and an ageing population. Originally,
Japanese people have mutual respect between the genders.
