以上、赤帽のサイトから。これ見るかぎりglibcのプロファイリング用のライブラリ群のようですな。あまり必要ではなさそうなのですが、どうしてuimの動作と関連するのでしょう..

すいません、言葉が足りませんでした。
uimをmakeするときに、i18nとprofileを一緒に入れて動いたのが確認できたので、
それをそのまま使っています。glibc関連のライブラリは、その他のモジュールで
使う場合があるので、そのままにしておこうという感じです。
