スレお借りします。
竹島の表記に関するgoogle earth宛の抗議例文です。
主旨のみですので、お好みに応じて前後に追記しても良いかも。

Dear Sirs and Madames,

I think the notation of Takeshima (or Dokdo) on a map is unfair.

1. Dokdo was noted in the English version
Liancourt Rocks is called Takeshima in Japan, and is called Dokdo in the Republic of Korea (ROK).
This name deeply has a relevance to a territorial dispute between Japan and ROK.
The territorial rights of the island:

is recognized as Japan's territory by 81% of the Japanese.
was offered ROK to bring to the International Court of Justice by the Japanese government in 1954, but ROK denied.
was mentioned that the island is a disputed area in The World Factbook published by CIA.

Therefore, I argue Takeshima and Dokdo should be written down on a map together.

2. There is no notation of the island in the Japanese version.
The Japanese version of the map ought to be localized for Japanese people.
It is irrational to be written the ROK name in the English version, but not to be written the name in a Japanese version
even though it is recognized as a territorial issue.
