recruiting or building mature reporters are very diffucult,
since such adults are normally busy in the real-world.
they actually come all by hazard.

On the other hand, we had 296 new threads in newsplus yesterday
that are too many for 500-threads board.
so I guess what you want is not the number of threads
but the variation of reporters.

I hate to say it but your predecessor used essays and e-mails to kick the social misfits
and forced to use old wildplus for months to test and train the newbies...

Please don't expect newsplus and mnewsplus to do self-governance.
Without guillotine some reporters always ignore the rules, customs and alerts completely
no matter how well the other good reporters behave.
I regret I talked too pessimistic. After that drunker-san comes,
both threads and active reporters are increased and bad threads are decreased significantly,
so we're doing quite well. Please keep on going!

but don't post within 30 days. So maybe they got bored or busy and quit.

and most reporters cleverly read it and conform to it, but to drunker-san's sorrow some don't.
Malicious ones should be removed, but the others are expected to learn it without guillotine used.

So 85 reporters are active within 1 month and 51 within 1 week.
Not all the reporters are "full-time" volunteers and
I think reporters who post only occasionally like 2-3 threads/month are not bad reporters by itself
and they can also contribute to variety in total (as far as they don't break the rules).
Let's not hope we'll have 10 Yusai-s.

In spring there're not enough volunteers who did that.

It is notable that most reporters in >>535 don't break rules in general.
Maybe reporters in request-thread are benevolent volunteers.
I think we should try to increase this kind of reporters.

My point is that we can increase the variety of threads not only by increasing reporters
but also by making threads with the help of board users via requests (within the rules).
"Hey, I found a great news! Pleeeease make a thread!!" -- we call it "collective wisdom".
