Survival Skills

I'm a writer and I loved traveling.
I'd been traveling solo since I was a teenager and learned a lot from it.
My first solo trip was during the summer holidays of my third year of junior high school.
I proudly told my family that I was going on a week-long trip and boarded an overnight ferry from Tokyo to Izu Oshima.
My backpack only contained a thin blanket.
What was I planning to do?
I don't remember exactly now, but I think I planned to sleep outside.
The trip was a complete failure.
As soon as I arrived on Oshima, an unexpected problem arose.
I felt anxious and returned to the ferry to Tokyo.
I was so embarrassed that I had to get home in 24 hours.
What a coward I was!

The Power to Endure

I'm a writer, and I used to love traveling. I've been a solo traveler since my teens, and I've learned so much from those experiences. My first solo trip was during the summer break of my third year of junior high.
I proudly announced to my family, "I'm going on a week-long trip!" and boarded an overnight ferry from Tokyo to Izu Oshima.
My backpack only had a thin blanket in it.
What did I plan to do?
I don't remember clearly now, but I think I planned to camp out.
That trip was a complete disaster.
As soon as I arrived on Oshima, I ran into unexpected trouble.
I got anxious and took the ferry back to Tokyo.
I was so ashamed to have to be home within 24 hours.
What a wimp I was!

x=−3 を代入して計算します。

For me, travel serves as a schoolI. I believe that any place is a school if you can learn something there.
When you are traveling, you see things you've never seen before and face situations you've never experienced before.
But as you try to cope with them, you learn something, one step at a time.
For example, I learned how to communicate with strangers and how to deal with many different situations.
What tiny creatures we humans are!
When you are traveling, you see things you've never seen before and face situations you've
never experienced before. never imagined.
Sometimes they appear in the form of difficulties you've never imagined.
But as you try to cope with them, you learn something, one step at a time.
For example, I learned how to communicate with strangers and how to deal with many different situations.
I also discovered how kind people can be, and how unkind. "There are so many things in the world I don't know
about !" I thought.
What tiny creatures we humans are!
It's the wisdom that helps you in unfamiliar situations when you come across them. The only way to acquire this
ability is to have many experiences
at all kinds of school." Many of them, of course, don't go by the name of "school."
