There is a rumor that you are going to set all boards to force ID display
regardless of the board's active members opinions.
That is the reason why there are so much conversations about ID issues.
If you are going to enable ID only on demand (let the board's autonomy decide it),

at least 2-3 months of discussion prior to enabling IDs ?
If there are evidence of excessive trolling during that discussion
